Kyrgyz state Aiyl Bank says suspends service of Russian Mir cards

BISHKEK, Oct 25 (PRIME) – Kyrgyz state Aiyl Bank has suspended servicing Russian Mir cards, the bank said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Aiyl Bank suspends servicing payment cards within National Payment Card System (NPCS) Mir on its peripheral devices (ATMs, POS-terminals) and money transfers from client to client within NPCS on payment cards issued by Aiyl Bank due to technical reasons from October 25, 2022,” the statement read.

Earlier Kyrgyzstan’s commercial banks Kyrgyzstan, Bakai Bank, Doskredobank, Kompanion and Bank of Asia suspended the service.
